Product Manager - Temporary Position

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s / MBA Preferred In What Field of study: Marketing or related field
Skills Required: Leadership/Management; Analytical/Financial;Interpersonal/Communication (written, verbal and presentation); Marketing/Product knowledge; Research/Competitive Analysis; Decision Making/Judgement/Problem Solving

Major Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Product Enhancement/New Product Development
• Provide product strategies and planning (idea generation/market identification)
• Provide business case development and financial feasibility analysis of new products and product enhancements
• Develop product design specifications
• Coordinate the efficient and effective development of products and enhancements by working with cross-functional groups (e.g. IT, Service Delivery, Legal, HR, etc.)
• Coordinate product testing prior to launch
• Manage product implementation
• Perform post launch assessments
• Track business results
• Manage funtionality and regulatory compliance of existing products

Strategic Sales/Service Support, Training & Development (20%)
• Participate in joint customer calls
• Serve as subject matter experts for requests for proposal (RFP) responses
• Respond to product inquiries
• Serve as subject matter expert at Divisional/Regional/Area sales meetings
• Provide collateral material for field operations
• Promote cross-selling of products both internally and externally
• Develop and coordinate training programs and material to update sales force knowledge to optimize sales performance
• Ensure testing and training for KTE’s is competitive by working with Product Manager, Testing and Training

Product Packaging, Pricing and Promotion
• Develop marketing plans as input to business/strategic plan
• Align pricing strategies to overall product strategies
• Prioritize strategies to increase profitable market share
• Identify market and customer segments for targeted advertising/promotional efforts, pricing and product packaging
• Develop product pricing strategies to maintain competitive position
• Reposition products to build desired image and increase competitiveness

Monitoring and Management Reporting.
• Track and forecast product financials, customer data and temporary employee data
• Gather and maintain product fact book including primary and secondary market research
• Use data to segment market, customers, and products
• Identify and track customer satisfaction, awareness, usage, perceived values, and needs
• Identify opportunities

Corporate Leadership/Communication/Integration
• Plan and lead the activities of external resources (e.g. suppliers and agencies)
• Plan and lead the activities of internal resources (e.g. Service, Quality, IT, HR, Legal, etc.) responsible for supporting product enhancements, packaging, price, and promotion
• Interface regularly with Senior Management and Business Unit managers to support sales and service efforts regarding each product line
• Interface regularly with all areas of Marketing
• Interface regularly with field operations to obtain customer needs and communicate new product enhancements, packaging, price, and promotion
• Participate in conferences and trade shows
• Participate in speaking engagements to increase visibility and enhance image of products and Kelly Services
• Conduct customer forums
